Alexander Albert Jeuk

I am a phenomenological and Marxist philosopher. My earlier phenomenological research focused on applying insights from the work of Martin Heidegger to issues in philosophy of mind and embodied cognitive science, and I engaged critically with pragmatist interpretations of Heidegger’s work, in particular with the work of Hubert Dreyfus. The focus of my current research has shifted to a critique of Heidegger’s work itself and the attempt to develop a Neo-Heideggerian framework. I have further recently started to work on problems in ethics, political, social and economic philosophy from a Marxian and Left-Heideggerian angle, while I also do research in metaphilosophy, where I critically contrast the methods used by analytic philosophers with those from phenomenology and Marxism.
