Alexandra Mouriki

Alexandra Mouriki is Associate Professor in Aesthetic Theory and Aesthetic Education at the University of Patras, Greece, and member of the teaching staff of the Hellenic Open University (School of Humanities). She studied at the Universities of Athens (Diploma of Philosophy) and Paris I-Panthéon- Sorbonne (D.E.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy of Art. Dissertation title: Art et nature dans l’esthétique phénoménologique française. La rencontre du logos philosophique avec le logos de l’art). She conducts researches in aesthetics and philosophy of art, theory and philosophy of aesthetic education, interrelations between aesthetic theory, aesthetic education and art education. She has authored several book chapters and articles on aesthetics and aesthetic education, a book in Greek language (Metamorphoses of Aesthetics, Nefeli Editions, 22005) and co-authored Enriching Arts Education through Aesthetics. Experiential Arts Integration Activities for Early Primary Education (Routledge, 2020). She is member of the International Society for Education through Art (INSEA), the International Association for Aesthetics, (ΙΑΑ), the American Society for Aesthetics (ASA), the European Society for Aesthetics, (ESA) and the Hellenic Society of Aesthetics.
