Alister McGrath is Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at Oxford University, with a particular research interest in the relation of the philosophy of the natural sciences and theological methodology. After undergraduate studies in chemistry at Oxford, my first doctorate from Oxford was in molecular biophysics (1978). This was followed by a doctorete in systematic theology (1999), and another in intellectual history, especially the relation of science and religion (2013).
