Allard Tamminga is professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Greifswald.

Using modal logic and game theory, he studies fundamental questions about collective agency, collective obligations, and collaboration. He also publishes on many-valued logics and on the history of analytic philosophy.

He holds a Habilitation in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Research of the Ruhr-University Bochum (2016) and a PhD in Philosophy from the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation of the University of Amsterdam (2001).
