I am interested in philosophy of science, mental illness, neuroethics, disability studies, and prison abolition – in all their intersectional glory. A great deal of my work is focused specifically on schizophrenia—as an embodied illness experience, clinical and contested disease entity, cultural object, and rhetorical phantom. While a scholarly endeavor, this research is also a personal project of self-discovery and expression of agency. My ideas represent the personal and academic study on an illness I was diagnosed with five years ago.
