Ari Helo (Ph.D) is a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Helsinki. Before his current position he has held several university lecturer and research fellow positions at Finnish universities and at the University of Virginia. Helo's scholarly articles have been published in Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Russia, and the United States. His several books include Thomas Jefferson's Ethics and the Politics of Human Progress (Cambridge University Press, 2014) and History, Politics, and the American Past: Essays on Methodology (Routledge, 2020).
