Ariella Binik is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at McMaster University. She works on topics in bioethics, in particular on the ethics of health research. She writes about the moral justification for risk imposition, research with vulnerable populations, pediatric ethics, and ethical aspects of study designs, including the stepped wedge trial and challenge studies.

Ariella received her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Western Ontario. She also holds a MA from McGill's Biomedical Ethics Unit, and a BA in philosophy from McGill. Before joining McMaster, she was a Research Fellow at The Ethox Centre at the University of Oxford.
