This essay is on Man's limitations as per his perceptions of his reality, given his physiology and given his mind's attributes. Of course, not many people think or care much about this matter, moving on through their daily chores, doing, serving, and buying their specific necessities for life. That fact does not change the truth that what all human beings experience, feel, endure and remember as their reality is a vastly complex fabrication woven by our minds, ultimately creating, designing a cohering ‘reality’ that makes our ‘reality’ recognizable enough such that, as stated, we can go on ignoring the unreality of our reality and get on with the necessities for our daily sustenance. Thus, each day, we believe in all that we did, spoke, and in the ways, we acted and interacted with whomsoever we performed and interacted with. We live each day believing, feeling, experiencing ‘our consciousness’ as being real; believing our memories are real; believing in all that we experience, witnessed, and/or participated in specific events. Now the point here is this; rare is the Man who pauses a while, contemplating the truth of all his beliefs, considering the vastness of the falsities of much of these beliefs. And, apart from such a few introspective, the fact of the matter is most human beings live and die believing they have genuinely experienced the entirety of all that they have experienced, considering, in effect, the entire film of their life was ‘real.’

Can We Ever See a Chair in its Totality? Synopsis of Chapter Submitted Ayad Gharbawi 2023 Submission - Philosophy – Can we ever see a chair in its totality? Key Words: Metaphysics; Vision; Mind; Unity of Vision; Limitations of Man’s Perception. Word Count: 3,036 Words. Dear Sir/Madam; I hope this email finds you well. My book represents a fundamental break from the conventional methodologies of psychology as it aims to be far more precise in describing the attributes of the various ‘bits’ of the mind, such as – memories, vision, scent, sounds, thoughts, dreams and so on, which, in their turn, as stated, are equivalent to some sub-atomic particle quantum laws. Ultimately the book defines with strict specificity what the ‘I’, the ‘Self’ is in light of the multitudes of attributes of the parts that ultimately compose our mind, or our personality, both directly and indirectly [in other words our public and private ‘faces.’] As per this specific manuscript, I am sending you one chapter from my book – Can we ever see the ‘total’ vision of an object, say, a chair in its totality? In this particular article, we note evidence that no observer can ever see the totality of any observed object because of the infinite number of variables that render it impossible for any human being to see the totality of a chair or of any perceived entity. These ‘variables’ are listed in our manuscript – such as being stationary or not; optical accuracy; the angle from which the observer views the chair; the distance from which the observer views the chair; the fact that no human can see the chair from every position and angle and if the observer is not stationary and/or the chair is not stationary, those variables will also change the image of the perceived entity. These variables are infinite in number which leads one to the conclusion that no perceived entity can ever be seen in its entirety given the innumerable and infinite factors that strictly govern and enforce the limitations of the vision of the observing agent in question. That is of course but one mere fraction of the limitations that the observing agent has to accept. Hence there is no totality of vision as per any object. No entity can ever be seen or ‘known’ in its entirety. The ‘unity’ and reality of any vision of any phenomena and/or object is therefore impossible and that is one more cause why defining ‘reality’ is such a difficult if not an impossible task. Thus, when we ask, ‘What does a chair look like?’ the answer is meaningless. And what are the implications? 1. Reality cannot be defined in any wholesome, unified manner. 2. Even though on a day-to-day basis we believe we know our minds and we see our environments, in truth, humans are severely restricted and limited to what they can know and see in their minds and their surroundings. 3. All we know and see as per our minds and our surroundings are changing discrete quantized snippets and slivers of so-called ‘reality’ – and I put the latter in those terms because reality is not and cannot be a unified, whole entity in any way and in any circumstance.

Being in a ‘Blanked Out State’ - Extinction of Self/Consciousness of A Human Author: Ayad Gharbawi 2023 Word Count: 1,088 Key Words: Human Existence; Human Non-existence; Mind; Awareness; Non-awareness; Extinction of Mind, Self and Physicality Dear Sir/Madam; I hope this email finds you well. This paper seeks to prove that in certain mental states, the Mind can be in what we call in the English language, ‘being in a blanked-out state.’ This means the conscious person is not thinking, feeling, sensing, hearing, or smelling anything – his Mind is in a state of Nothingness precisely because he is not acting, reacting or interacting with the Constituents of his own Mind [CoM] or with anything in his surroundings. So, what can say about such an individual? In this manuscript, I will argue that the person in question no longer exists. Why? Because the individual’s Awareness is non-existent. And this is the decisive reason for this phenomenon. Neither his Mind is aware, conscious, alert to anything and nor is his body alert, aware, or sensitive to anything. Therefore, the Mind and the Physicality of the person are extinct. It is no different to being in a coma or a dreamless state. Thus, our lives, and our existence cannot be a linear field precisely because every now and then we cease to ‘exist’, as just explained. It is counterintuitive for people to think that when they blank out for a few moments, they ‘no longer exist’, but in every practical and functional sense, it is true. We like to think we are in ‘control’ of ourselves, our minds, and our bodies, but in truth, that is far from being the case.

1. Our 'vision' of our surroundings is minimal as to the richness of what is out there. That is because our eyes and optical faculties are severely limited in seeing a semblance of that reality. 2. When speaking of 'reality', there are numberless levels of that subject matter. There is the reality of what each organism sees. There is the reality of the different conditions a perceiving person is in, for example, what is the speed the observing agent watching the perceived object and that will change the 'reality' of what they see if we change the speed. 3. In summation there is no unity in any perceived object.

Sir/Madam; Herewith are presented to you the first chapters in my studies on the constituents of the Mind, Vision, and ultimately of Reality. However, this ‘reality’ I speak of, in turn, reverts entirely back to the observer in question. This theoretical study inevitably leads us to some of the same attributes of the constituents of Mind and Vision to the reality and attributes of sub-atomic particles as per quantum laws. My interests are in the ‘constituents of the Mind’; questioning what are the fundamental properties that constitute the Mind of an individual in a specific timeframe, and how do the attributes of our Mind interact with our Self and the outside world? I find Constituents of the Mind act, interact, and function in certain circumstances exactly as the Quantum Physics laws governing electrons and sub-atomic particles interact with each other. For example, during the Mind constituents' interactions, the latter interactions can create and/or eliminate other Mind constituents, precisely as quantum laws can create or annihilate particles. Another example, whenever we observe/detect a photon, we will necessarily see a particle. Conversely, whenever we do not observe/detect a photon, we see a wave or field. Similarly, in this Mind Studies, I note, the closer the Observer concentrates on a specific point on an observed entity, the greater the abstraction will be [wavefunction]. Conversely, the less the observer focuses on a specific point on the observed entity, so the lesser abstraction of the latter becomes, in other words, it becomes so much more recognisable [particle-like]. Motivated by Feynman’s diagrams, this drove me to create novel notations to speed up our understanding of these intricate matters. We speak of the attributes of reality, consciousness, the Mind, and somehow, we miss one elemental ‘Mind dimension,’ and that is the dimension of ‘nothingness,’ wherein the Mind - and therefore our entire physicality - is rendered extinct during the time when we are not aware nor conscious. This ‘extinction’ I speak of is the state when the Mind has no thoughts, no feelings, no images – it is the person sleeping in a dreamless state. We can measure properties of all matter from astronomical entities down to the muon. Examples abound, yet they are not seen as relevant; what is the reality and the attributes of our Mind when we are thinking? What are the attributes of our Mind when we blank out? What are the attributes of our Mind when we are dreaming or influenced by drugs? What are the physical properties of a thought? Or a feeling? Well, here, empiricism flies out of the window. Yes, we can scan the brain during such states of being, but relative to the person in question, he/she experience an entirely different existence, with its own spatial, time, and emotional attributes – none of which can so far be captured by any neuroscientist. Suddenly we arrive at a point wherein we must accept that not only the materialist world exists; there exist other ‘dimensions’ or mental realms’ that exist within us, within our lives. Moreover, the fact that there is an infinite number of realms of reality indicates that the ‘normal,’ regular world we live in is but one part of this much bigger reality of our Mind’s experiences. While it is well-known that there are different realms of the Mind, with their differing attributes, we ignore - or do not study the fact that there may be different realms of existence for both Mind and matter. The only reality most people assume exists the one we live within – the physical three-dimensional, plus time dimension. And yet, the definitions of reality are, in fact, numberless, depending entirely on the quality and spatial context of the collective totality of the Observer’s conscious and/or unconscious Mind within any specified timeframe. That means there are numberless forms of ‘realities’ specifically and only relative to and in the repose of each conscious or unconscious individual in question. In other words, this manuscript both defines the severe limitations of what are Minds can know, sense, feel or see of our bodies and the world beyond our bodies [the material aspects] while at the same my works propose that our Minds have numberless ‘realms of reality’ or experiences, far beyond what the average person generally lives with.
