My academic background is in theoretical philosophy and in applied philosophy. Both my BA and MA were directed to theoretical philosophy in the areas of philosophy of science, philosophy of mathematics, logic and epistemology. During my MAS and PhD, I changed my focus to applied philosophy (cognitive neuroscience, philosophy of law, ethics, politics and sociology). Within this area, I have worked on topics related to animal ethics, environmental ethics and bioethics, as well as its intersections with political philosophy, law and sociology.
