I work in philosophy of cognitive science and several of its sub-fields: neuroscience, psychology, and artificial intelligence. I'm primarily interested in metascientific questions about scientific explanation, reduction, modeling and simulation, but also work on foundational issues concerning the nature of mind (natural and artificial) and embodiment.
