Value Theory

On the theoretical side, I am interested in the nature of ethical values as they are embedded in both concrete social-historical practices (e.g., productive, reproductive, and contemplative activities) and broad religious or cultural worldviews (e.g., attitudes toward life and death, past and future, time and eternity, and nature and transcendence). On the practical side, I am interested in the prospect of gender justice in China. Hence my research intersects with three fields in philosophy: value theory, feminist social philosophy, and philosophy of religion.
