The rediscovery of biblical and Talmudic notion of responsibility is an alternative in the context of theological reflection, in relation the shortcomings ethics of the philosophical project of modernity. In this context, the rescue of the uniqueness of this responsibility reveals a fruitful relationship between Jewish thought and moral theology. This article, in order to demonstrate this fecundity, evidences the force of ethical wisdom of Old Testament, from the perspective of the jewish philosopher Emmanuel Levinas

O pensamento do filósofo judeu Emmanuel Levinas, pautado sobre a responsabilidade ética em relação ao outro e por uma oposição à hegemonia do ser que caracteriza a ontologia no pensamento ocidental, apresenta uma ética da responsabilidade pelo outro que nos remete diretamente ao universo bíblico-talmúdico. Neste artigo trataremos de expor algumas das categorias da ética levinassiana a fim de confrontá-las com o pensamento cristão, investigando em que sentido a sua ética da alteridade pode favorecer o discurso da Teologia moral nos contexto atual.
