I am a research fellow in philosophy based in the School of Historical Studies at Birkbeck College. Previously, I did my PhD at Cambridge and my BPhil at Oxford, and was then a lecturer in philosophy at Birkbeck College for about a decade.

My main philosophical research has been in metaethics and the philosophy of language, but I currently also have wider interests in the philosophy of music, as well as in narrative views of identity.

Currently, I am taking a mid-career break to study music cognition at Goldsmiths, University of London.
