I am a professor of philosophy and the integrated biosciences (PhD) program at the University of Akron. I have a B.A. in philosophy from UCLA and a M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy from Syracuse University. My research is in the philosophy of mind and cognitive neuroscience. I am interested in the nature and ontology of color, color perception, and more generally how cognitive psychology and neuroscience can inform our philosophical theories of the relation between perception and cognition. My secondary interests are in social and political philosophy as well as philosophy of economics.
