I'm a professor of philosophy at the Institute for Philosophy II, Ruhr University Bochum. I am also a member (in the role of an assistant professor, on 25%) of the Philosophy & Ethics Group at TU Eindhoven. I serve as a co-editor in chief of the European Journal for Philosophy of Science. My areas of expertise are social epistemology and philosophy of science, in particular formal modeling of scientific inquiry, social epistemology of scientific disagreements and controversies, and integrated history and philosophy of science.
