Erika Grimm is a dual-title Ph.D. candidate in the departments of Philosophy and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at The Pennsylvania State University. She earned her B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in Linguistics from California State University, Fullerton in 2017.

Her dissertation project in critical phenomenology examines instances of linguistic rupture in U.S. Latina lived experience in order to disclose and critically engage ideological relationships at the nexus of language, race, sex, class, and ability that create conditions for dis-citizenship and disenfranchisement within the context of the United States.
