I am a professor at Federal University of Uberlândia, where I work with Ancient Philosophy, more specifically with Aristotle's philosophy. Before this position, I was a post-doc fellow at University of Campinas (Brazil), where I got my PHd, having professor Dr. Lucas Angioni as advisor. My research subject is on the Aristotelian conception of dialectic and dialectical syllogism in the Topics, trying to understand not only how dialectical debate is organised, but also, and more importantly, what kind of logical and linguistic apparatus a competent dialectician must master. I spent a semester (2014/15) at Ludwig Maximilians Universität - München (LMU) in the Munich School of Ancient Philosophy (Musaph), as a visiting student, where I conducted my research under professor Dr. Christof Rapp's supervision.
I am currently member of the Research Group “Metaphysics, Physics, Science and Dialectic in Aristotle” (CNPQ) and I participate in the project “Syllogistic and Aristotle’s Theory of Demonstration” (CNPQ) both of them led by Lucas Angioni.
