I am a queer researcher based at The Hub for Decolonial Feminist Psychologies in Africa, in the department of Psychology, at the University of Cape Town, where I also teach Critical Decolonial Feminist Approaches to Psychological Research. My interest in the psychology of marginalised subjects, and people who occupy liminal spaces in society, is my attempt at overcoming my own alienation in the world. In my doctoral work on intimate partner violence, I look to Decolonial Feminism as an approach of humanising myself and those with whom I do research.
Together with my colleagues, Tumi Mpofu and Floretta Boonzaier, I am a Guest Editor for a special issue of Social and Health Sciences Journal on Unsettling Knowledge Production on Gendered & Sexual Violence.
