I am a philosopher and currently an honorary researcher at Lancaster University. My research mainly explores philosophical issues in medicine and psychiatry. I am also interested in philosophy of mind and philosophy of science. Previously I trained in psychiatry and I currently work as a clinical ethicist in gender affirming healthcare.
I have a PhD in philosophy from Lancaster University, an MPhil in philosophy and ethics of mental health from the University of Pretoria, an MB BChir in medicine and a BA (Hons) in history and philosophy of science from the University of Cambridge, and an MRCPsych from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
