    Las reflexiones en torno a la estética han girado predominantemente sobre su relación, casi exclusiva, con el arte. Las preguntas por la sensibilidad, la belleza, el gusto, el placer o lo sublime han sido, en la mayoría de los casos, resueltas a la luz de lo que la cultura occidental asume como hecho artístico; de tal modo que la experiencia estética es ante todo una experiencia artística.
