İbrahim Okan Akkın is a graduate of Middle East Technical University (METU, 2007) Department of Philosophy. He completed his MA (METU, 2011) with his thesis concerning the possibility of participatory democracy in light of Hannah Arendt’s theory of action, Rousseau’s notion of direct democracy and Habermasian theories of communicative action and decentred models of deliberation.
