İbrahim Okan Akkın

Associate Professor of Philosophy specializing in the Philosophy of State and Society, Aesthetics and 20th Century Philosophy. Between 2022 and 2024, they were a visiting scholar at the Gender Studies Program of Utrecht University as a fellow of the TÜBİTAK 2219 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program. Attaching great importance to interdisciplinary studies, in their Dissertaion, Akkın examined contemporary political art and performance studies together with Deleuze-Guattari's philosophy of difference. They also have publications and conference presentations on participatory democracy and collective ethics.
