Imge Oranlı is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy in the Interdisciplinary Humanities and Communication Unit at ASU's College of Integrative Sciences and Arts. After receiving her Ph.D. from DePaul University (2015), she worked as a lecturer at Koç University and other institutions in Istanbul (Turkey) before joining ASU in 2019. Oranlı is working on a book manuscript on philosophical theories of evil and their implications for analyzing state violence, genocide, and its denial in the context of WWI Ottoman empire and Turkish-Armenian relations.
