I'm an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Creighton University, interested in meaning, knowledge, history, and value. My research lies at the intersection of epistemology, the theory of meaning, and intentionality, with a special interest in bridging the divide between Continental and Anglo-American work in these areas. In historical terms, I specialize in early to mid-20th-century thought, especially the phenomenological tradition and its intersections with the history of analytic philosophy. Most recently, I have been applying the insights of my research to questions about the epistemic status of generative artificial intelligence.
