My name is Jared Highlen and I am a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at Boston College. Prior to entering the doctoral program, I received a B.A. in History and Philosophy at Wheaton College, and an M.A. in Philosophy at Boston College.

My research interests include hermeneutics and phenomenology, social and political philosophy, and philosophy of religion. My current project draws on the work of Hans-Georg Gadamer to explore the hermeneutical elements of Hannah Arendt’s concept of world.
