I'm a philosophy instructor at Oregon State University and Linn-Benton Community College, as well as a program coordinator for the nonprofit organization Farm Forward.

My research interests are at the intersection of food, animal, and environmental philosophy, including hermeneutic, pragmatist, and Jain approaches to these topics. My dissertation examines various interpretations of the ontological categories of "food" and "drugs," as well as implications of these interpretations for issues of justice, medical practice, and regulation of edible substances.
