I’m currently a research associate at the Keeping Kinship in Mind Project, where I research different forms of conceiving altruism in different disciplines. I recently concluded my PhD at the University of Western Australia, under the supervision of Prof. Rob Wilson. My main areas of interest are philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of biology.

In my PhD thesis, "Altruistic Motivation Beyond Ultimate Desires", I discuss some theoretical and practical problems with the dominant way of conceptualizing altruistic motivation and point to some alternatives.
I was born in Brazil, where I completed my bachelor's degree in philosophy. In 2018, I moved to the USA to obtain my master's degree in philosophy. I'm currently living in Perth, Australia.
I have worked both as a lecturer and as a tutor at the University of Toledo, the University of Western Australia, the University of Notre Dame, and Curtin University. I have also worked on projects of philosophy for children, in the Philosophical Engagement in Public Life (PEiPL) network, together with Prof. Rob Wilson.
