I am an Associate Professor in Philosophy at Wilfrid Laurier University. I earned my DPhil at the University of Oxford, where I worked under the supervision of Derek Parfit, Quassim Cassam, and Paul Snowdon. I publish in the areas of personal identity theory, philosophy of death, narrative and anti-narrative views of the self, literature, meaning in life, and the emotions. My current research is focused on longevity, change, and future-directed attitudes.
