I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Fordham University. My research interests include autonomy, trust, and consent, the ethics of digital technology and neurotechnology, Buddhist and Japanese philosophy, and the ethicist's role in medicine, science, and technology. In recent years, I've taught courses on culture & bioethics, Japanese philosophy, healthcare justice, and neuroethics. I am also an endurance athlete, including one year as a professional triathlete, a few ultramarathons, and a handful of road marathons.
