Manuel Gustavo Isaac is a Lecturer in emerging technology ethics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), the ‘Philosophy Lens’ Coordinator of the Science Breakthrough Radar® at the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA), and a Research Group Member of the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP). Manuel Gustavo completed his PhD in 2015 at the University of Paris with a thesis in historical epistemology (summa cum laude), and also got degrees in philosophy (BA 2006, MPhil 2008), linguistics (MPhil 2009), and logic (BA 2010, MA 2011) from Paris Sorbonne Universities. His current research is in metaphilosophy, with a focus on philosophical methodology. In this field, he specializes in conceptual engineering, addressing both foundational and applied issues.
