I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Seattle Pacific University. Previously I held postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Oxford. And before that, I did a PhD in Philosophy at Rutgers University.

I write mostly in Epistemology (recently, on knowledge, defeat, fallibilism, hope, knowing persons, and disagreement); I also work on some allied areas in Philosophy of Language (on assertion, honesty, lying, testimony, etc.); and in Philosophy of Religion (epistemology of religion broadly construed, and the problem of evil).
