The research area that intrigues me the most is the study of the different types of oppressions and how they effect the economy currently and for future generations. By taking a bigger look at how some people have found themselves in poverty we can take the first step to trying to change the reality of some peoples futures and allow them to understand and move past the external forces holding them in certain situations. My drive for this research is my life, and the places and things that I have seen and experienced. Growing up in a midwest steel town I have seen economic success and failure, I see our schools still training people for jobs that rarely exist. I see the cost of bread and milk rise while the pay raises go stagnate. My goal is to bring light to the very issues that oppress parts of america and the world. I feel by addressing such issues we can began to make adjustments that could change our society or at the very least allow us to gain an understanding on why we are dealing with such paternalism from our leaders.
