I have recently been awarded my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Sydney. My research mostly focuses on the philosophy of immigration, and draws on theoretical approaches to human rights and the state’s use of force. I have been described by peers as a libertarian, and although I can see why they think that I refer to myself as a cosmopolitan. When pressed, I admit to left libertarian sympathies. Other areas of interest include free speech (and whether it is even plausible that a for-profit press can be thought of as ‘free’) and group-agency.
