After undergraduate studies in philosophy and psychology at the University of Bristol I went on to do a PhD in visual neuroscience at Cambridge, graduating in 2004. Concern with philosophical issues around vision, mind-brain and consciousness led me back to philosophical studies with post-doc's at Monash and then Washington University, St Louis. For the last few years I've mostly been writing about the problem of colour, and how ideas from neuroscience can bring fresh light on the realism vs. anti-realism debate.
