I studied undergraduate philosophy at Grinnell College under Professor John Worley and others, including spending a semester studying at The University of Edinburgh in Scotland where I studied Kant with Professor W.H. Walsh. After graduating from Grinnell College in May 1974, I enrolled in the graduate Philosophy program at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. While studying at Michigan, I took graduate courses from several notable faculty members, including Jaegwon Kim, William Frankena, Alvin Goldman, Lawrence Sklar, Louis Loeb, Timothy McCarthy, and others.
