Dr. Patrice Nerad is a graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies In Transformative Inquiry and Consciousness Studies. Her doctoral dissertation, Separation from the Real: The Power of Story at the Heart of the Civil Commitment Process, was based on her 16+ year long journey to rectify an unwarranted and illegal civil commitment. Her new book in progress: Power to Silence: Psychiatry, DSM, Drugs, Institutional Corruption, Immunity and the Insanity of the Mental Health System will be published in 2024.
