After studying physics and electronic engineering at Manchester University and UMIST, I joined British Telecom specialising in the computer simulation and mathematical modelling of systems and networks, and then moving into engineering management roles. Taking early retirement from BT, I was able to pursue my interest philosophy as a graduate student at Manchester and then Essex University, whilst working part time as a lecturer in maths and electronics at Suffolk New College. Having finally retired from College, I am now focusing on consolidating my writings on the philosophy and cognitive science of perception. (27/9/19)
