I am currently an assistant professor (akademischer Rat auf Zeit) at the Department of Philosophy at Bielefeld University. My work lies at the intersection of philosophy of neuroscience, general philosophy of science and science and society.

I have a strong interest in the development, structure and normative evaluation of scientific concepts. I also work on the epistemology of experiments and discovery (especially in the life sciences), tool development, multiscale modeling, methodology in science and the humanities, and more recently, and the use of climate research for policy planning and decision making.
