Pieter Beck (previously Present) is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Philosophy and Moral Sciences (Ghent University). He studied Philosophy at Ghent University and obtained his Phd in 2019 at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He is currently an FWO (Research Foundation-Flanders) postdoctoral fellow, with a project on 'Chemical reactions: the performance and (re)interpretation of chemical experiments in the Dutch Republic (1750-1800)'.
