CNRS Research Director (tenured) in Philosophy of Science. I'm a philosopher of biology, particularly interested in immunology, microbiology and developmental biology. My publications are in philosophy of biology and theoretical biology and medicine (including PNAS, Nat Rev Immunology, Lancet). My research focuses on biological identity, biological individuality, the concept of organism, the concept of development, and microbial symbiosis.
