Tim Christiaens (°1992) is a PhD-student and teaching assistant at the Institute of Philosophy. He obtained his MA and MPhil degrees in philosophy and an MA in comparative & international politics. His research focuses mainly on contemporary Italian political philosophy (Agamben, Negri, Esposito, Virno, etc.) and their historical influences (Aristotle, Marx, Foucault, Deleuze, etc.) on themes such as economic subjectivity, financialization, and debt. Tim is working on a PhD on governmentality in Foucault and Agamben. He also works as a teaching assistant for philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, and ethics.
