Adjunct professor of philosophy, University of Colorado. Emeritus professor of physics and astronomy, University of Hawaii. Did research in elementary particle physics and astrophysics, high energy gamma ray and neutrino astronomy. Worked on strange and charmed particles, gluons, quarks and neutrinos. Last project before retiring form research and teaching was to collaborate on Japanese underground experiment that found first evidence that neutrinos have mass. Published ten books including 2007 NY Times bestseller "God: The Failed Hypothesis." Eleventh book now in press: "The Fallacy of Fine-Tuning."
