7Emotional intelligence as a predictor of identified regulation, introjected regulation, and external regulation in athletesFrontiers in Psychology 13. 2022.Self-determination theory considers motivation as a multidimensional phenomenon, with different levels of intensity, purposes, intentions, wills and autonomies. 15Between Tyranny and Self-InterestTheoria 69 (171): 140-171. 2022.The first contribution of this article is a politico-philosophical map that, drawing upon two common sets of arguments against modern natural rights, might help to explain the prevailing neo-republican position on natural rights. Under the label ‘abstraction argument’, we explore the view that natural rights are a metaphysical construct that usually ends in a violent application of speculative principles to society. Under ‘self-interest argument’, we discuss the notion that natural rights endors…Read more

16Emotional Valence Precedes Semantic Maturation of Words: A Longitudinal Computational Study of Early Verbal Emotional AnchoringCognitive Science 45 (7). 2021.We present a longitudinal computational study on the connection between emotional and amodal word representations from a developmental perspective. In this study, children's and adult word representations were generated using the latent semantic analysis (LSA) vector space model and Word Maturity methodology. Some children's word representations were used to set a mapping function between amodal and emotional word representations with a neural network model using ratings from 9‐year‐old children…Read more

10Self-Esteem at University: Proposal of an Artificial Neural Network Based on Resilience, Stress, and Sociodemographic VariablesFrontiers in Psychology 13. 2022.Artificial intelligence is a useful predictive tool for a wide variety of fields of knowledge. For these reasons, the aim of this study was to analyze the levels of self-esteem presented by teaching staff and stud…Read more

15Consciousness, time and science epistemology: an existentialist approachScience and Philosophy 9 (2): 47-60. 2021.In this work, the author presents an updated state-of-the-art study about the fundamental concept of time, integrating approaches coming from all branches of human cognitive disciplines. The author points out that there is a rational relation for the nature of time coming from human disciplines and scientific ones, thus proposing an overall vision of it for the first time.
