This chapter analyzes the India Against Corruption (IAC) movement, which was led by Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party, through the lens of Gandhian pluralist spirituality. This spirituality is anchored in the objective of truth realization through nonviolent social service. The chapter investigates the relationship of the five ethical essentials in the Hindu–Jain tradition to their application in Gandhi’s attempt to realize Ruskin and Tolstoy’s socialist ideals in real-life settings. It also explores the concept of laicization inherent in the truth-realization ideal as an antidote to the problem of corruption in India. The Aam Aadmi Party implemented this concept to make Delhi corruption-free. Finally, the chapter observes that this pluralistic secular spirituality is not antithetical to the concept of secular spirituality in the Bible.

Interreligious dialogue for social harmony and peace is a crucial topic in our times. Comparative religious studies helps to facilitate the peace building process. This book looks at a few comparative themes in some of the Karmic and Abrahamic faiths. Karmic religions include Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism that have one central connecting theme, the concept of karma. But, they lived with an eternal perspective, unshaken in resolve, strong in pursuit of the reality that transcends and overtakes the fleeting world that we live in. Sometimes philosophers have been misunderstood. It could be because the philosopher's communication was vague. It could also be because the philosopher didn't use Ockham's razor and multiplied terms unnecessarily forcing reviewers to impose the razor, with the result that what needs to be cut is not cut and what was essential is taken out of the equation. This article cites two cases, one of the Indian thinker M.M. Thomas and other of Peter Van Inwagen, who claimed that their thoughts were misrepresented by some other well known thinker.

Epistemic approaches towards understanding ultimate reality proceed chiefly via the rational, the empirical, and the fideistic way, each yielding a theological view consistent to the approach chosen. Rational theologies tend to be ultimately monist in nature, while empirical theologies are pluralistic, e.g. polytheism. Fideism has its dangers as well where blind faith only hampers scientific research. However, Indian philosophy has suggested few criteria for verifying a source of authoritative testimony. This dissertation investigates why an authentic revelation would solve the ultimate clash between reason and experience.
