The pursuit of human knowledge has traditionally been organized into distinct disciplines—such as physics, philosophy, biology, and mathematics. This compartmentalization, while useful in many contexts, fails to capture the complexity and fluidity of reality. Neutrosophic Transdisciplinarity, a framework rooted in the principles of neutrosophy, offers a paradigm shift, enabling us to bridge these gaps. By focusing on the intersections where uncertainty and complexity thrive, neutrosophic transdisciplinarity challenges conventional disciplinary boundaries and facilitates the exploration of knowledge in its interconnected, evolving form.

The world, as we experience it, is suffused with indeterminacy. From the behavior of subatomic particles to the complexities of human thought and social systems, ambiguity and uncertainty are not exceptions but intrinsic properties of reality. Classical frameworks—whether grounded in strict probabilities, binary logic, or clear set membership—often falter in their ability to grapple with this pervasive indeterminacy. That is why Neutrosophy seeks to lay the groundwork for a paradigm shift across disciplines.

Materialism, as a philosophical outlook, has undergone several evolutionary transformations from classical metaphysical materialism to the more dynamic and socially-conscious dialectical materialism proposed by Marx. In this short essay, I propose the concept of Neutrosophic Materialism, which extends and refines dialectical materialism. Neutrosophic Materialism offers a broader, more nuanced framework for understanding the material conditions, social forces, and ideas in shaping human history and social reality.

When students first encounter logic, their journey often begins with classical logic, a foundational framework widely applied in fields such as mathematics, computer science, and philosophy. The classical logic is a rigid structure with binary distinctions between true and false, frequently regarded as the default system of reasoning. However, deeper exploration into symbolic logic reveals a more complex landscape, where no single, universally accepted system prevails. Instead, an array of logical frameworks emerges, each offering multifaceted perspectives on truth, validity, or inference.

The Javanese philosophical concept of “Gemah Ripah Loh Jinawi” paints a vivid picture of a dreamed utopia, often translated as a land of abundant natural wealth, fertility, and profound peace and prosperity. While this vision frequently appears to remain an elusive ideal in contemporary reality, this article argues for a re-evaluation of its essence, moving beyond a purely materialist interpretation. We draw parallels between “Gemah Ripah Loh Jinawi” and concepts such as the Judaic notion of “Shalom” and the “pursuit of happiness” embedded in Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence, demonstrating a shared yearning for a holistic well-being that transcends mere economic prosperity. Furthermore, by employing Neutrosophic Logic, we aim to analyze “Gemah Ripah Loh Jinawi” as a complex, multi-dimensional aspiration, acknowledging its degrees of truth, falsity, and inherent indeterminacy. This framework allows for a nuanced understanding of how this Javanese ideal seeks a complete abundance, blending material wealth with profound spiritual growth, offering a potent vision for human flourishing beyond the confines of modern materialism.

Cet article aborde le défi de modéliser formellement les systèmes de connaissance complexes, souvent contradictoires, propres à la pensée décoloniale latino-américaine. Il introduit le MultiPerspectivisme Neutrosophique, un cadre théorique qui opérationnalise le perspectivisme philosophique à l’aide de la logique neutrosophique. Nous posons comme postulat que la connaissance est située et que la vérité est médiée par le point de vue de l’observateur — un concept enraciné dans la philosophie nietzschéenne mais qui trouve une expression singulière dans les cosmologies amérindiennes et les systèmes juridiques pluralistes. La méthode principale consiste à proposer un Modèle de MultiPerspectivisme Neutrosophique, utilisant des ensembles multi-neutrosophiques pour représenter les perspectives subjectives sous forme de triplets de séquences de vérité, d’indétermination et de fausseté ⟨T, I, F⟩. Un résultat clé est le développement d’une fonction de similarité permettant de quantifier l’affinité entre différentes perspectives, transformant ainsi des points de vue qualitatifs en données analysables. Ce modèle est appliqué à une étude de cas portant sur un conflit foncier juridique, où il permet de révéler des similitudes structurelles cachées — telles qu’un style de raisonnement absolutiste partagé entre des parties opposées — et d’identifier des alliances stratégiques potentielles. La conclusion principale est que la logique neutrosophique offre un outil mathématique robuste pour naviguer à travers l’ambiguïté et la pluralité des réalités perspectivistes, allant au-delà de la simple reconnaissance de la différence vers son analyse formelle et son intégration possible..

Philosophy is characterized by its rich diversity of methods and schools of thought. Beneath this diversity, however, lies a subtle but profound unity: the interrelation of affirmation, negation, and neutrality. A neutrosophic perspective reveals that philosophical movements are not isolated ruptures from tradition but are dynamic threads interwoven into a larger intellectual tapestry. This short essay birelfy examines six philosophical movements—revisionism, inspirationalism, recur-rentism, sophisticalism, rejectivism, and paradoxism—through the lens of neutrosophy, illustrating how each contributes to the evolving landscape of philosophy.

Philosophy, long defined by its pursuit of truth, has historically been a battleground for dichotomies: truth vs. falsehood, materialism vs. idealism, reason vs. emotion. These oppositions often provide a framework for understanding philosophical discourse, but they fail to capture the full nuances of reality. To challenge these binary oppositions, I introduced the neutrosophic perspective in philosophy, rooted in Mathematics, and Many-Valued Logics.1 By emphasizing the interrelation of affirmation, negation, and neutrality, neutrosophy allows for the reconciliation of seemingly irreconcilable viewpoints, providing a new lens through which to reinterpret age-old philosophical questions.

Philosophy has always tried to illuminate the complexity of existence, but often faced its own paradoxes. The emergence of philosophical schools and concepts, along with their arguments, reflect the dynamic interaction of ideas. This short note explores some nuanced principles governing philosophical thought, summarized in the proposed “philosophical formulas.” These formulas are intended to mathematically and conceptually express the tensions, complementarities, and movements intrinsic in a given philosophical system.

This special issue of the journal “Neutrosophic Sets and Systems” compiles a selection of notable works from the IX Ibero-American Biometry Meeting, held in Quito, Ecuador. The collection focuses on the application of neutrosophic and plithogenic approaches to data science and multivariate analysis. The papers explore advanced studies in neutrosophy, which is a branch of philosophy examining the origin, nature, and scope of neutralities. Neutrosophic theory generalizes classic logic by introducing a degree of indeterminacy, alongside degrees of truth and falsity. The articles within this volume demonstrate the application of these concepts to diverse fields, including financial dynamics, psychological treatments, cryptocurrency regulation, sentiment analysis, and the evaluation of public policies.

The domain of neutrosophic set theory has been undergoing significant and rapid expansion. New approaches, theories, strategies, and optimization techniques are developed at a swift rate. An important development in neutrosophic theory is its integration with existing set theories, such as soft set theory, rough set theory and more. Neutrosophic set has been extended to neutrosophic hyperset which is vast and extends across multiple disciplines and problem domains, from decision support and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to data analysis and complex systems modelling. A neutrosophic hypersoft set extends the flexibility of neutrosophic logic and soft set theory by considering multidimensional or hypersoft sets to address real-world complexities where information is incomplete, uncertain, or inconsistent. Neutrosophic theories have emerged as essential tools in a diverse range of disciplines, including, MCDM, data mining, biomedical research, social studies, and beyond. The fourth volume of “New Trends in Neutrosophic Theories and Applications” focuses on theories, strategies, optimizing techniques for MCDM within neutrosophic frameworks. Some topics deal with introducing of Pythagorean hypersoft sets with possibility degree, quadripartitioned neutrosophic Lie-ideal of Lie-algebra, quadripartitioned neutrosophic quasi coincident topological space, neutrosophic supra-open set in neutrosophic supra topological space and neutrosophic soft matrices. This book explores the development and importance of these mathematical approaches in managing uncertainty and imprecision in decision-making, and focuses on the practical applications of these theories in decision-making, demonstrating how they improve uncertainty modeling and facilitate more effective decision-making across various fields. By leveraging these frameworks, decision-makers can better navigate complexity, leading to more accurate and dependable outcomes. Ultimately, it highlights the progression from fuzzy to intuitionistic fuzzy to neutrosophic set theories as a significant advancement in capturing and analyzing uncertainty within decision-making contexts.

Young people’s skills and attitudes must be observed, studied and evaluated in order to create appropriate models that would serve an educational purpose. In this paper, we propose a decision-making model with the aim to detect certain attitudinal and behavioral patterns of actively engaged young people. The data used in this research resulted from a questionnaire drawn up by a group of researchers from six European countries with the aim to investigate the youth’s awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals and their engagement as active agents of development and change at regional level. For the purpose of this study, we selected the regional results obtained from administering this questionnaire in Dolj County (Romania) and La Rioja (Spain). We developed a neutrosophic model that determines the Mindchanger profile of the respondents based on a minimal set of questions, which is dependent on the inclusion or exclusion of the nationality-specific traits. The resulting decisions were then compared with the respondents’ self-evaluations, yielding high precisions (more than 0.83) for all the investigated evaluation scenarios. Our results were significantly better than the ones provided by several machine learning models applied on the same set of data. A direct impact of our model is that it can be applied to questionnaires which include linguistic responses that express, among others, unclear or vague thoughts. Additionally, it offers the possibility to identify the minimal set of questions that impact the respondent’s answer choice to a target question.

One of the most striking trends in the neutrosophic theory is the hybridization of neutrosophic set with other potential sets such as rough set, bipolar set, soft set, hesitant fuzzy set, etc. The different hybrid structures such as rough neutrosophic set, single valued neutrosophic rough set, bipolar neutrosophic set, single valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy set, etc. are proposed in the literature in a short period of time. Neutrosophic set has been an important tool in the application of various areas such as data mining, decision making, e-learning, engineering, law, medicine, social science, and some more. This book explores the emerging field of Neutrosophic Algebraic Structures, focusing on both their theoretical foundations and practical applications. We apply innovative algorithmic methods to investigate the complex interactions of neutrosophic elements, such as neutrosophic numbers, sets, and functions, within algebraic systems. Our goal is to show how neutrosophic structures challenge and expand traditional algebraic approaches, offering solutions to problems across diverse fields like computer science, engineering, artificial intelligence, and decision-making.

This volume contains the proceedings of the Mediterranean Conference on Neutrosophic Theory (MeCoNeT 2024), held at the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti of the University of Messina on September 24-25, 2024. The event was organized by the MIFT Department (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Earth Sciences) of the University of Messina, marking the first international congress on neutrosophic theories outside the Americas. This milestone has firmly established the Mediterranean region as a key hub for research in the rapidly growing field of neutrosophic theory. The MeCoNeT 2024 conference drew over 100 participants from more than 15 countries, with more than 50 scientific contributions selected through a rigorous peer review process. The hybrid format of the event—featuring in-person sessions at the historical Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti and online parallel sessions—allowed for broad international participation. The conference thus offered an ideal platform for sharing interdisciplinary research and addressing contemporary challenges in mathematics and beyond.

A special issue of the International Journal in Information Science and Engineering “Neutrosophic Sets and Systems” (vol. 71/2024) is dedicated to the Conference on NeutroGeometry, NeutroAlgebra, and Their Applications, organized by the Latin American Association of Neutrosophic Sciences. This event, which took place on August 12-14, 2024, in Havana, Cuba, was made possible by the valuable collaboration of the University of Havana, the University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences "Manuel Fajardo," the José Antonio Echeverría University of Technology, University of Informatics Sciences and the Cuban Academy of Sciences among other institutions. In 2019 Smarandache generalized the classical Algebraic Structures to NeutroAlgebraic Structures (or NeutroAlgebras) {whose operations and axioms are partially true, partially indeterminate, and partially false} as extensions of Partial Algebra, and to AntiAlgebraic Structures (or AntiAlgebras) {whose operations and axioms are totally false} and on 2020 he continued to develop them. The NeutroAlgebras & AntiAlgebras are a new field of research, which is inspired from our real world. In classical algebraic structures, all operations are 100% well-defined, and all axioms are 100% true, but in real life, in many cases these restrictions are too harsh, since in our world we have things that only partially verify some operations or some laws. Similarly, a classical Geometry structure has all axioms totally (100%) true. A NeutroGeometry structure has some axioms that are only partially true, and no axiom is totally (100%) false. Whereas an AntiGeometry structure has at least one axiom that is totally (100%) false. And in general, in any field of knowledge one has: Structure, NeutroStructure, and AntiStructure which were inspired from our real world where the laws (axioms) do not equally apply to all people and in the same degree. This special issue aims to highlight the most recent advances and applications in the fields of NeutroGeometry and NeutroAlgebra, two areas that are at the forefront of contemporary mathematical and scientific thought. During the conference, the mathematical foundations and practical applications of these disciplines were explored, as well as their relevance in the MultiAlism system and other interdisciplinary areas. The content of this special issue has been carefully selected to reflect the diversity and depth of the topics discussed at the conference. This event and the subsequent publication of these works underline the growing importance of neutrosophic theories in the current scientific landscape. We are confident that the ideas and discoveries shared in these pages will be of great value to researchers, academics, and professionals interested in these innovative areas of knowledge.

A special issue of the International Journal in Information Science and Engineering “Neutrosophic Sets and Systems” (vol. 69/2024) is dedicated to the Neutrosophic approaches in research, on the occasion of the international and multidisciplinary conference held at the Universidad César Vallejo in Lima, Peru, on July 8 and 9. This event marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time that the Andean region and Latin America host scholars and researchers dedicated to studying various theoretical and applicative issues in the expansive and diverse field of Neutrosophic approaches. Since its conception, Neutrosophic theory has proven to be an interdisciplinary and innovative field, notably growing with the introduction of several generalizations of Neutrosophic Sets, such as Plithogenic Sets, Hypersoft Sets, IndetermSoft Sets, SuperHyperSoft Sets, and MultiAlism. These advanced conceptualizations have further expanded the versatility and application range of Neutrosophic theory, allowing its adoption in an ever-increasing spectrum of disciplines. The conference, with its international and multidisciplinary character, has brought together experts and scholars from various fields, providing a unique platform for the discussion and exchange of ideas on the multiple applications of Neutrosophic approaches. This special issue also addresses how scientific production in Neutrosophy focuses on social issues specific to Latin American philosophy. In the regional context of Latin America, it is possible to state that Neutrosophic tools and knowledge are used for the identification, analysis, and resolution of social problems, offering unique approaches or distinctive contributions to the field of Neutrosophy, influenced by its cultural and philosophical context. Neutrosophic science in Latin America shows a clear pattern of how scientific production addresses social problems, standing out for its innovative approaches that reflect the cultural and philosophical particularities of the region. This approach has allowed Neutrosophy not only to advance in theoretical terms but also to provide practical and contextually relevant solutions to social challenges. This special issue compiles works presented at the conference, reflecting the richness and diversity of current research in this field. We hope that these articles not only contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Neutrosophic theory but also inspire new research and applications in multiple disciplines.

The field of neutrosophic set theory and its applications has been rapidly expanding, particularly since the introduction of the journal "Neutrosophic Sets and Systems." New theories, techniques, and algorithms are being developed at a very high rate. One of the most notable trends in neutrosophic theory is its hybridization with other set theories such as rough set theory, bipolar set theory, soft set theory, hesitant fuzzy set theory, and more. Various hybrid structures like rough neutrosophic sets, neutrosophic soft set, single valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy sets, among others, have been proposed in a short period. Neutrosophic sets have proven to be crucial tools across a wide array of fields including data mining, decision making, e-learning, engineering, medical diagnosis, social sciences, and beyond. The third volume in the series “New Trends in Neutrosophic Theories and Applications” focuses on theories, methods, and algorithms for decision making, as well as applications involving neutrosophic information. Some topics introduce new sets such as the Pythagorean neutrosophic vague soft set, the triangular fuzzy penta-partitioned neutrosophic set, interval-valued neutrosophic b-open sets, and interval-valued neutrosophic b-closed sets. Other topics present applications in medical diagnosis, non-preemptive neutrosophic priority queues with uneven services (labeled as NM/NM/1), AHP in an interval neutrosophic set environment, MAGDM in a triangular fuzzy neutrosophic number environment, MAGDM in a pentapartitioned neutrosophic environment, the entropy-ARAS strategy in a single-valued neutrosophic number environment, and the MABAC strategy in a rough neutrosophic set environment.
