As manifestações de 2013 evidenciaram problemas que ainda não faziam parte da agenda sociopolítica brasileira, entre eles, destaca-se a crise da representação política. A pesquisa investiga esses fenômenos a partir deste problema: Por que as instituições não avançam com a sociedade? Nosso viés de análise é interdisciplinar, aplicando o procedimento reconstrutivo através de teorias e diagnósticos dos cenários atuais. Iniciamos nossa análise das teorias da representação sociopolítica na filosofia política moderna, partindo da consolidação do republicanismo nas cidades-estados em território italiano na transição do Medievo para a Renascença, período extremamente influente para o pensamento político moderno; prosseguimos nosso estudo dando um maior foco ao desenvolvimento sociopolítico durante a Idade Moderna, abordando a emergência do liberalismo e da democracia representativa idealizada por Jean-Jacques Rousseau. A seguir, tratamos o tema da representação sociopolítica na formação do pensamento político brasileiro, que começou a idealizar-se a partir da Constituição de 1824. Porém, aqui nos delimitamos a estudar a formação do pensamento brasileiro na Segunda República, com o desenvolvimento industrial, a emergência da sociedade civil organizada e a criação dos partidos políticos. Apesar do longo período de dominação das elites na esfera política e da repressão aos movimentos sociais, o Brasil produziu uma geração de pensadores importantes que refletiram sobre a constituição do povo e a formação do Estado nacional brasileiro. Por fim, problematizamos a democracia representativa em seu estágio atual, analisando cenários, fazendo diagnósticos para recriar a democracia, tal como é institucionalizada na forma-estado ocidental. Porém, como fazer isso, sem incorrer no vício espontaneísta ou no movimentismo sem foco, ou no processismo que nunca se realiza? Os partidos têm pouca capacidade de elaborar estratégias, apenas divulgam ilusões programáticas, de como gerir mais ou menos os negócios estatais, através de marketing e planejamento eleitoral. Trata-se de construir uma gestão democrática, que supere ações emergenciais, reagindo às crises, estados de necessidade econômica e shows eleitorais; uma representação que não fique reduzida a dicotomia de ser gestor a serviço do mercado ou do Estado, mas que articule a horizontalidade das redes sociais, conectando o pensar e o agir estrategicamente, superando dualismos entre público ou privado, entre Estado ou Mercado.

Este artigo traz comentários a algumas das Observações sobre a matemática e as ciências que Hegel introduziu na Doutrina do Ser de sua Ciência da Lógica. Enfatiza-se a necessidade de que a leitura de tais Observações seja feita sob a luz da história da ciência, colocando a Ciência da Lógica no contexto do particular estágio de desenvolvimento em que a matemática e as demais ciências se encontravam. Mostramos que, com essa perspectiva histórico-crítica, os pontos positivos e negativos das Observações de Hegel se evidenciam com bastante clareza.

A pesquisa trata de uma introdução à lógica da medida de Hegel. O objetivo é fornecer uma visão geral da terceira seção da Lógica do Ser: a Lógica da Medida. O problema é entender o porquê a unidade subjacente do ser é denominada de indiferença absoluta e como ela se diferencia da indiferença do ser puro? Em outras palavras, a indiferença absoluta é descrita como relação quantitativa inversa dos fatores de duas determinações qualitativas. Então, como essa contradição é dissolvida e, ao mesmo tempo, possibilita a passagem para a essência? Para explicitar esse problema, primeiramente, reconstruímos o desenvolvimento lógico da categoria da medida na terceira seção da Lógica do Ser; descrevemos a contradição da indiferença absoluta de duas qualidades como uma relação quantitativa inversa entre seus fatores. Depois, apresentamos a categoria da medida segundo a Enciclopédia. Há uma dupla transição na Lógica do Ser a partir da lógica da medida: da quantidade para a qualidade e da qualidade para a quantidade. A transição da medida para o sem medida e, deste, para a indiferença absoluta explicita a suprassunção de todas as determinidades qualitativas e quantitativas do ser.

A Ciência da Lógica de Hegel, apresenta na Lógica do Ser, na 2a Seção, a Quantidade, enquanto uma filosofia da matemática moderna. O estágio de desenvolvimento das ciências modernas em geral, e da matemática em especial, permitem a Hegel fazer um diagnóstico, dos avanços e limites alcançados até então, que aponta as contradições do conceito de quantidade/quantum. Reconstruímos, inicialmente, a teoria da quantidade pura e seus momentos contínuo e discreto; depois, a dialética do quantum extensivo e intensivo, com os momentos do número que culminam na contradição do cálculo infinitesimal; enfim, na relação quantitativa articula-se a superação do déficit especulativo das próprias relações matemáticas, fazendo emergir, nesse sentido, o aspecto conceitual da quantidade enquanto qualidade. Ou seja, Hegel deduz na própria quantidade de modo imanente a dialética qualitativa, de modo que com essa explicitação a lógica quantitativa está determinada qualitativamente, ou seja, a matemática tem um sentido lógico especulativo.

The research “From Pure Quantity to Quantum in Hegel's Science of Logic reconstructs the 1st chapter of this session that poses the problem of passing from Quality to Quantity. The dialectic of being-for-itself led to the quantitative unit that is, initially, pure immediate quantity in relation to itself; the result of this process brings immanent moments of attraction and repulsion that are now continuous and of discrete magnitude; these two moments contain each other reciprocally forming an inseparable unit, that is, quantity is an uninterrupted process of the ones. However, the limitation of quantity describes that both in continuity and in discretion there is a limit that leads to the quantum. Then, we briefly present the problematization of the quantitative being and mathematics, in order to show the relevance of making quantity explicit in Hegelian logic.

Social networks merge the real and the virtual in virtual actuality that forms the basis of human networks. In this sense, the anthropology of technology, in conjunction with cyberanthropology, allows the diagnosis of a new identity of human beingsstemming from the phenomenon of social networks. Do the intersubjective relations established in different contexts of publicity and pluralism of meanings emerging from the interface with social networks, which dilute the limits of human communication and boundaries, still allow usto understand the real and the virtual in a dualistic way? Or, rather, what is the immanent logic of the antagonism of unsociable human sociability that allows the scenarios of “outrage and hope” in global self-communication? The following interdisciplinary study aims first to involve cyberanthropology, anthropology of technology and philosophy to show the cultural implications of the identity of human beings connected to social networks. Then, we study the genealogy of the anthropology of techno-science and Kant’s antagonism in unsociable human sociability. Finally, we describe the Hegelian logic of reflexive manifestation between free objectivity and subjectivity, and communication as virtuality

Este artigo consiste numa análise interdisciplinar com o auxílio de teorias filosóficas, sociológicas e políticas sobre as contradições da democracia e sua relação com a opinião pública a partir de três perspectivas: num primeiro momento aborda os modelos normativos de democracia diagnosticados por Habermas em Inclusão do Outro, e sua proposta de procedimento deliberativo com vistas a superar os limites dos modelos liberal e republicano; depois de expor um diagnóstico basilar dos modelos democráticos, apresenta alguns pontos concernentes às contradições da democracia contemporânea a partir das análises sociológicas e da ciência política de Charles Tilly. Num terceiro momento, aborda a democracia a partir do conceito hegeliano de opinião pública tendo em vista três componentes: a fenomenologia, a lógica e a política da opinião pública.Palavras-chave: Contradição; Democracia; Opinião Pública.

This paper walks through four different approaches to Hegel's notion of Consciousness in the Phenomenology of Spirit. Through taking four different approaches our aim is to explore the multifaceted nature of the phenomenological movement of consciousness. The first part provides an overview of the three chapters of the section on Consciousness, namely Sense-Certainty, Perception and Force and the Understanding, attempting to unearth the implicit logic that undergirds Consciousness’ experience. The second part focuses specifically on the shape of Sense-Certainty, providing an analysis of the movement from Sense-Certainty to Perception from a neuroscientific view. Thirdly, we consider an inferentialist reading of the chapters on Consciousness which has been made popular by Robert Brandom. We think that while this view elucidates the connection that Hegel draws between meaning and use, it fails to account for the vital place of immediacy in each of the shapes. Finally, the fourth part suggests that Hegel’s notion of Consciousness improves the reading of tragedy he develops in chapters 5 and 7 of the Phenomenology. While many critics have noted that Hegel fails to do justice to tragic experience, Consciousness contains an epistemology that develops analogously to the heroes of ancient tragedy. Each approach in this paper comes at Hegel’s description of the journey of Consciousness from a different angle, and together they paint a multi-layered picture of a highly important part of Hegel’s corpus.

Hegel’s Philosophy of Law deals in theLaw section of the categories: person, property and contract. Research critically reconstructs this theory from a Marxist perspective. In the concept of person, first of all, the singular will is reduced to a solipsist will unrelated to intersubjectivity. Then, the concept of Hegelian property bases the private appropriation of property as the externalization of the singular will. This legal property guarantees the maintenance and reproduction of private property, that is, it will guarantee the private accumulation of capital, Marx will say. Anyway, the theory of the contract would link the autonomy of the contracting wills, however, it is a mere appearance, because, in fact, the owners’ wills are under the domination of the capitalist market, as it is explained in Marx’s Capital. The theoretical deficit of Hegel’s Philosophy of Law in general is that the legal concepts of person and property correspond to the abstract will. Hegel describes the juridical description of the legal system of the modern state as the development of free will that legitimizes the asymmetry of civil society in its socioeconomic inequalities.

Hegel’s theory of reflection plays both a logical and ontological role in Marx’s theory of labour and private property. What is the point of comparison between a Hegelian and a Marxian theory of reflection? The theory of alienation. In Hegel, one has the alienation of thought in reflective thinking – the understanding’s mode of operation; in Marx, the alienation of labour under private property. As an activity, labour has, according to Marx – like the activity of thinking, in Hegel – the structure of negativity: the structure of externalization and return to the self. In the Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts, in particular, Marx developed a theory of the externalization of labour in which alienation prevents the latter from fulfilling its return to itself. Labour becomes alienated, leaves itself and remains outside of itself, for it is appropriated by private property.

This paper criticizes the separation between public-political versus private and unpolitical performed by liberal political theories, which constructs a very unclear and depoliticized sphere, subjects, values and practices that cannot be accessed neither by political-juridical institutions nor by social movements, citizen initiatives and political-cultural minorities, undermining a direct, participative and inclusive democratic political praxis as the basis of social criticism, cultural resistance and political emancipation by the very emphasis on the unpoliticity and privatization of civil society, its subjects, practices, values and clashes; the political fundamentalism of institutionalized and universalist religions, which imposes the unpolitical private on the social, political, cultural and institutional sphere, from the delegitimation, silencing and marginalization of the differences, of the political praxis as a social struggle between opposed and different voices. We will propose that the possible way and strategy for a critical social theory and an emancipatory and inclusive democratic political praxis in face of this consolidated depoliticization of the praxis, civil society and institutions is to deconstruct such a separation between public-political and private by the politicization of civil society, its subjects, struggles, values and practices, which means that the foundation and application of a political theory into the social depends on the affirmation of the centrality of civil society’s political subjects and social clashes. Here, the praxis as politicity, carnality and permanent-pungent struggle and, as a consequence, the centrality of nowadays social-political subjects become the core of the theoretical-practical grounding and in terms of its link with the social sphere, subjects and clashes.

Neste artigo, defendemos que as teorias euronorcêntricas da modernidade, cujo mote é a reconstrução filosófico-sociológica do processo de modernização ocidental sofrem de uma cegueira histórico-sociológica que é caracterizada por três pontos básicos: o desenvolvimento dessa mesma modernização ocidental como um processo autorreferencial, auto-subsistente, auto-suficiente, endógeno e autônomo, de modo que haveria a modernidade enquanto racionalização e todo o resto enquanto tradicionalismo, o que, por outro lado, não impede as teorias da modernidade de correlacionarem modernidade-modernização, racionalização, universalismo e gênero humano; a separação entre modernidade cultural e modernização econômico-social, a primeira enquanto esfera puramente normativa e a segunda enquanto esfera basicamente instrumental, lógico-técnica, com o objetivo de salvar-se um conceito normativo de universalismo epistemológico-moral que se confunde com a própria modernidade cultural; e, como condição de tudo isso, o apagamento do e o silenciamento sobre o colonialismo enquanto uma consequência do desenvolvimento da modernização ocidental como um todo. Argumentamos que uma práxis decolonial latino-americana tem na denúncia, no desvelamento e na desconstrução dessa cegueira histórico-sociológica das teorias euronorcêntricas da modernidade em sua estilização do processo de modernização ocidental o ponto de partida epistemológico-político fundamental para constituir-se como alternativa ao paradigma normativo da modernidade, para fundar o seu discurso filosófico-sociológico da modernização ocidental em sua correlação com o colonialismo.
