I did my PhD in Barcelona under the supervision of Carl Hoefer, then I was a postdoc at UNAM and at the Czech Academy of Sciences, visiting Pittsburgh, the Rotman Institute, etc. Previously I studied Engineering of telecommunications (URL La Salle) and Philosophy (University of Barcelona), and worked in the real world for a while. My main research is on laws of nature, in particular the source of physical necessity. I have investigated and reformulated attempts to explain laws of nature as emergent, with a statistical explanation of lawful behavior inspired by statistical explanations of the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
