I am Associate Professor at the University of Parma (Italy). I've also held positions at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), University of Tübingen, Boston University, and Boston College.
In 2010, I received my PhD from the Department of Philosophy at Boston University under the supervision of the late Jaakko Hintikka. Before moving to the New World, I received my undergraduate degree, also in philosophy, from the Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Pisa (Italy).
I specialize in metaphysics and its interaction with neighboring areas, such as logic, philosophy of science, and philosophy of language. I'm especially interested in the metaphysics of modality, laws of nature and counterfactuals, indeterminacy of both semantic and metaphysical variety, and metametaphysics.
I'm a member of the Center for Logic, Language and Cognition, of the Society for the Metaphysics of Science, of the Metaphysic Collaborative, and of the European Society for Analytic Philosophy.
