Ali Salami (1968) is an internationally renowned writer, critic and Associate Professor of English Literature at the University of Tehran Ali has written extensively on gender, discourse, Shakespeare and postcolonial literature. A prolific writer, Ali has written dozens of articles on political discourse. Some of his writings have been translated into 20 languages. He is currently translating Shakespeare’s works into Persian. His English translation of The Qur'an was published in the USA.
