I am a PhD candidate at the University of California, Irvine. My research interests are primarily in 17th- and 18th-century philosophy, particularly the role of skepticism in the works of Immanuel Kant, Margaret Cavendish, and David Hume. I am currently writing a dissertation on Kant and Pyrrhonian skepticism, exploring Kant's interpretation of Pyrrhonism and its influence on his theoretical philosophy. I also have research interests in contemporary epistemology (esp. skepticism, perception, and normativity), ancient philosophy, and philosophy of mind. My doctoral work at UCI has been advised by Sven Bernecker and Karl Schafer.
